God's Ways

Each time I have a yearning for a life more ordinary; read- career, helper, car, a hefty retirement fund and more bags and shoes, God would give me normalised children. There they'd be working on their materials at 5p.m in the afternoon after giving me a hard time for the earlier part of the day.

Truly, Montessori was guided by existentialism, seeing things for what they are, and not letting any fancy theory get in the way. So, now I will continue using my pocket money for materials on top of our very low school fees (*hint, hint* darling.) and what little is left of my grey matter to understand Montessori ( dah 5 tahun tak faham, faham ?!) I hope I'll be healthy enough in my old age to not depend on my children coz I don't think I can retire.

I have just concluded my module on Observation with Montessorilive.com and I think they have given me a most beautiful and clear concept of the method short only of being there itself. (Alas, I don't think the transfer to Washington thing's working out, for reasons anybody who has been reading about the American economy would know )

So here I am in this very convenient island where even homeschoolers have an enthusiasm for tests and exams?! (gasp....) I must admit I get carried away by the wave sometimes, but I'm gonna stick to the Key West philosophy as endorsed by my prof. Doc. Czaja.... we will just sail away into the sunshine and watch for strange lights in the sky....

Ok, gotta go- need to update to the blue series for Umayr, need to update everything for Ihsan and need to keep to the plans for Sofiyya while being on painkillers for my toothache....and darn I have to test Ihsan for recording purposes or maybe I'll come up with a portfolio of sorts instead and a summary of my observations for the poor boy. Let's see if they are ok with that : )
