Alphabet Story: X
This story goes with our lesson on human bones x-rays.
Once upon a time, there lived a brave
little girl named Cara. She was only 4 but she was not afraid of going out on
her own and playing in the forest. One day, Cara was taking her usual walk in
the forest when she saw a piece of paper on the ground.
When she picked it up, she realised that it
was a drawing of the area around the river.
Most of it were drawings of trees and water, but at one end of the map,
the person who made it had drawn the letter “X”.
Cara did not know what the “X” stood for,
so she went home to ask her mother. At home, her mother told her that “X” marks
the spot, i.e., it shows where a treasure or something important laid.
Her eyes widened with glee. She could not
wait to return to the forest the next day.
Draw a map as described in the story on the
blackboard.
Draw the letter “X” on the right top hand-side.
Child copies this into her main lesson book.
