My attempt at writing a curriculum

I'm trying to write out my own curriculum thanks to being inspired by the book "The Everything Homeschooling Book" by Sherri Linsenbach. Unfortunately, I don't know how to link my document to the blog, if that's possible at all. Would love to share it with everyone, then again it's just a one page thing . Anyway, I'm using the Utica Community School curriculum which can be found at http://members.shaw.ca/montessori4all/ages.htm which covers preschool to grade 6.

My next step is to write out my lesson plans, or what Montessorians call 'albums'.Ha! Writing is one thing, to do is another. There are days wasted after hours of planning and there are days of no planning that is packed with fun learning. I have to be more disciplined....

I have been thinking about what is there for me to look forward to in life? It's a sign of me slacking.

When you're schooling it's easy, you look forward to further studies, when you work; the advancement of your career....when you're a stay-at-home, homeschooling mum of toddlers?

I have to keep getting myself excited about my children's learning and learning about learning.

It'll be years before they go to college.

Maybe it's a sign from God to keep up my spirits; Sofiyya recited the arabic alphabets up to 'sod' this morning when I was putting on her diapers. Alhamdulillah, it's a sign for me to hang in there.....
