I always get panic attacks after a long weekend. I get a milder version on regular Mondays at times. It is good just to start for things start to fall into place, InsyaAllah. Teaching is where mere thinking won't do the job.
Before it was time for school, Umayr took out a pack of labels. When he asked me what they were for, it struck me I could get him to copy the schoolroom inventory labels and stick them. So out came my schoolroom inventory labels and Umayr was copying away and sticking them to the things in the schoolroom i.e my living room, with some help from me and his brother to read them.
My neighbour's son has recently joined us four days a week for an hour each time. I thought the company would be good and I get to practice what I learnt. It's been great and it'll be interesting to see how he develops over time.
The rest of the day's been ok. I do worry too much. Anyway, Umayr has also picked up swirling the hula hoop. He can do it for a minute! I can't even do three at one go...
I'm just gonna learn to relax now. I need to get back to the mode I was when I was calm and working along with the kids.
