Holidays

We had a holiday of sorts during the second week of June, thanks to Zainah being free only in that week as it was the school holidays. I didn't realise how many places we went in one week till I was looking through the pics in my hp today.

We started with the zoo on Monday, the Mozart exhibition at the National Museum on Wednesday, the Henderson waves on Friday and Hortpark on Saturday. Phew!!! It was a busy week. On the days we didn't go out we still had school.

We are now settling back to work; plus I have had some sort of revelation of how the actual Montessori school works, on the organisation part especially, after reading Montessori Today by Paula Polk Lillard ( I'll write about it soon on my theory blog 'Our Learning Journey' which is now 'red dot Montessori').

School has been revamped to a certain extent but it's still early days and truly I think I am the one having difficulty adjusting. When will this stop Asrina? Not till I get as authentic as I can! : ) The method cannot meet the optimal performance it has proven to achieve until it is carried out in its elements.



Ah well, I just hope I don't get tangled up doing all I want to do. Then again, there's only one life to live, right? Or maybe four, considering how my children's lives are sort of 'the' part of this.
